Ready to celebrate the New Year with Rivals!

Marvel Rivals fans and players are super excited to celebrate the New Year 2026 event today at Times Square. NetEase’s hero shooter commemorates its anniversary with a New Year’s ball drop mini-event, allowing players to watch the historic New York City countdown with friends or strangers.

There is still a mystery of what we could see here. Will there be any surprises or mystery rewards? The only way to find out is to join the Times Square celebration.

Marvel Rivals New Year 2026 event timings

Mark your calendars for the Marvel Rivals New Year 2026 Event, which is going to take place on December 31, 2025 at 8 PM ET (5 PM PT/1 AM UTC/ 1 AM BST).

This will remain active until January 1 at 1:00 AM ET (10:00 PM PT/6:00 AM UTC/6:00 AM BST).

How to join & rewards

Simply queue for the Times Square Map. Move towards the central screen and you will see the countdown. Have fun with your friends and randoms till the countdown hits zero. You can test out the Pym Kitchen burger and have some fun till then.

The only confirmed reward that has been revealed is the ‘New Year 2026’ title. NetEase has also revealed that Mayor Fisk is hosting this event and Loki’s Ultimate Ability will be disabled during this event.

Maybe we might get some special message for Fisk or a possible hero’s tease. For rewards, maybe some more free units for the players. We wouldn’t be surprised if we see some Deadpool shenanigans on the big screen in Times Square.
